Reading the PDM, doing my homework, run across Acacia acuminata (raspberry jam acacia) in the section on woodlots (Chapter 12).
Anyone know anything about this western Australia native shrub/small tree, esp cold tolerance?
The USDA, not so much.

Fabaceae, does it fix nitrogen? How well?
Drought tolerance?
Other uses?
