Not a great morel season despite the snowy winter. This was the first batch my husband picked, and maybe the last for the year:


I sauteed with butter and the white of 3 ramps. Then, a hit of brandy, cream, and a little tomato paste.

yum! the season was a lil lean here too.

try some in a ham n cheese pocket.

here is a great mushroom treat. works with most mushrooms.

1 can creammushroom soup-1 egg- finely chopped shrooms. mix all well in bowl. crunch up sleeve of crackers(non salted) so you have large chunks, then fold into mix gently. either fry like salmon patties or bake into small muffins. these dont last long at parties! lol

Most people don't share their prime morel spots. You share actual morels!!! Kudos.

Nice morels.

I found a few on a hugel bed, but I was a bit late.
I remember burying green ash tops in there, but I can't remember what else.

We'll see if they return in 2015.
