Hi,
My name is Melissa. I have traveled and worked on many farms. I have found my gift is serving others ideas. I dream of being a family on a little piece of land. And sometimes, I release all my dreams to the will of God.
I love natural building! Memorizing poetry and singing! Gardening!
I am 36. I love praying. I love going to meditation and yoga class. I am constantly trying to be present.
I love people, and have friends of all kinds.
As I learn about relationships, I know how important it is to enjoy conversation with a loved one. I desire to talk about Jesus and the Bible. I love talking about plants and observing nature.
Sometimes I don't cook the yummiest thing, and eat it anyways. And sometimes I cook something delectable and enjoy it! Not too many things bend me out of shape. I dont know how to be bored. I sew, and make things. I like to learn new skills, and am glad to be a helper.
I would love to start a conversation with a like mind.
I pray that God protects you.

Melissa, hello! I'm a seminary graduate, 2nd, and a Christian disciple first!

I admire your understanding of being "present" as a part of being a Christian. The mind is the battlefield of the spiritual battles we fight against - we dont fight people! :)

Where have you traveled? Favorite place visited? Like to visit someday?

What part of the world are you in?

I'm a 44 year old Texan, east of Dallas, off grid 11 years now (solar power!) on a 1 acre homestead I built myself ground up! I lived in Colorado for a year and Guatemala for two years, and have visited 31 unique countries, some many many times, and 5 of 7 continents so far. The older I get, the more I realize there is no place like home. I'd like to build another place on more land someplace else, in the next few years. I always imagined I would finish this one with a wife but that never happened.

Ive never been married nor had kids, but ive always hoped for a family of my own someday. But life is a gift, even as a single man. I'm blessed beyond measure and God has been my constant companion through the highs and lows.

I found a nice church near me that has some simple life people in it too rather than the mega church lifestyle most common in the Dallas area (I'm due east of Dallas 40 miles or so in the woods). Texas is a great place for this lifestyle but its growing fast too. (Part of why I want to build a new place in a less populated area since the area around me is growing so fast!)

But I Still see deer and wildlife and hear the lions and big cats roaring in the big cat sanctuary a mile through the woods from my house which is pretty amazing.

Tell us about where you are and where you'd like to be and post a picture. Did you grow up in church? Any particular denomination?

I wish you all the best!

BJ Murrey
