A big hello to everyone. Im from the UK, which you probably know isn't as cold as a lot of the places a lot of you live in. I registered here because I've always been keen on self sufficiency and after seeing a picture of an RMH am very keen to make one of my own so hope to gleen as much info as I can before I do from all the vets on this forum. I have attempted a small project, building a solar, pop can air heater which works quite well on sunny days but not when it's cloudy so im looking at other ways to heat the house when its cold. I've also been looking into being able to run as much of my house "off grid" using batteries, wind and solar just so were not so tied into the system as I reckon at some point in the not so distant future there will be issues around demand outstripping supply and the problems that causes.
Thanks. Neil
