My first post here:
so I am very very very new to this, but I am creating a food forest on a 3 acre piece of land.
Wild peas, sweet peas, I believe, grow very well under and around my apple trees. I encourage them to grow there so that they will fix nitrogen in the soil.
However, I've heard many mixed accounts about whether of not these peas should be eaten. I have eaten them is small quantities, with no ill effect, and most of the accounts I've read about people becoming sick from consuming these peas occurred in times of famine, where they were used as a sole food source.
I apologize if my question has been asked many times before. I am very very new to this.
thank you in advance.
