We have a Rustic Scandinavian Log Home on 16+ Acres in the foothills of beautiful Shenandoah County Virginia. Its would be a lovely, rural, private homestead, family retreat, or country escape. We've decided we are unable to do all we had planned with the property, main house and outback buildings. Years ago the property was a goat & sheep farm. In the 6 yrs we've been here we upgraded the main house (full log house) with new windows, roof, hot water tank, furnace & heat exchange unit (Heat and AC) and HVAC. The forest surrounding the property has mature hardwood timber with approximately $30,000 in ready-to-harvest value as of April 2026 according to a local logger we had assess the property. We removed some trees around the house when we put the new roof on. There's about 2 Acres of open space. A gravel right-of-way road runs between the house and large yard, and the field across the gravel road. We did so because we were thinking of bringing in livestock as it had in the past.
