42Male Looking for Partner

Hi, I go by Rico and I am currently looking to buy some land and build a homestead. I would love a partner to share it with. Obviously there would be a lot of getting to know each other before moving in together. I’m posting here because it’s hard to find someone likeminded in the wild.

I live in Houston and was born here but I have live in many places including a ranch in Mexico with no power , NYC and most recently on a sailboat. It’s always been my dream to live off the grid and build my own homestead. It’s finally the right time in my life to do so. I’m very handy and could probably build a house from the ground up. I am not religious but I do like the ideas within Zen Buddhism. I have a good paying career in the medical field. Previously I worked as a paramedic for many years but now I coordinate organ transplants. I travel for work but it’s very flexible. I can work as much or as little as I want.

There’s a lot I need to learn about permaculture and I am hopping to find someone to share the experience with. It’s been tough finding someone with the same interests as me. I’m not materialistic or political. I don’t smoke cigarettes, I am a social drinker and occasionally smoke pot. Debt free although I will be getting a mortgage for the land I am looking for.
