We are two siblings, currently in South Africa-our parents have bought 994sq mtres of land that they are currently rehabbing(the soil), they are also documenting the insects, wild growth ,birds etc
We plan on building a cob house.
Where we are in the North of SA is quite resistant to permaculture mores, our parents have always practised permaculture (the wild zones cause a lot of friction), at the mo.we gather our wood, cook on a rocket stove(gas when weather inclement), collect our water(we want to dig a well), hand wash laundry, live in an army tent-we are able and willing to do the donkey work, we need to get more experience in long term projects as our family is literally starting from scratch, we are 19yrs and 17yrs old, building projects, bees, thatching are particular interests, importantly we are isolated here and it would be great to meet other people walking the talk consistently, ultimately our ambition is to go back home with skills ensuring our long term vision of making our home happen, we would need accommodation and a basic stipend, we are happy to work anywhereish in the world, thank you,
Æmelia & Séamas.
