I am considering installing a small back up battery system. I believe you recommend an inverter and battery charger. The best location I have is my attic. I am concerned about the temperature extremes from summer to winter. Should this be a concern? In general what environmental conditions should be considered when determining a location? I don’t remember you addressing this in any of the podcast that I have listened to. If this was already address please tell me where I should look.
Karl, yes, I address this in ALL of my battery podcasts. I tell you don't put your batteries anyplace you would not put your dog. Treat your batteries better than a dog. If you'd not put him out in the freezing cold garage in the winter, then don't put your batteries there either. I don't think you'd put your dog in the hot attic either, so there's your answer.
