I want to talk with someone who has successfully made moringa oil

Hi guys.

Can anyone explain the process of making moringa oil? What kind of machine do you need? Could I make it with something like this?

Someone told me a moringa tree has to be 14 years old before it can make oil, but I don't think they knew what they were talking about. I think anything with mature seed pods should make oil. Is this correct?

Hi Johnny,

We've been working with moringa since 2001. You are correct in that as soon as you can harvest mature seed pods, you can press the seeds for oil. Some trees bear seed pods within the first year, it all depends on the climate and conditions. We have recently started pressing oil using the Piteba oil press. Here is the link to our website with photos of our first pressing Seeds to Oil in 4 Easy Steps. We got approximately 12% oil by weight. The oil is a beautiful golden color with a nutty flavor.
