Using trees as arbor for grapes

I found this thread on a search. We're selling our house in zone 5/6 in NY. Wild grapes grow consistently and beautifully on a neighbor's mature maple at a woodland edge with southeast exposure. On my property, where grapes self sow abundantly, native grapes are growing and ripening on a sumac with southern exposure. Those vines have been there for at least seven years--when we bought the house. Exact soil spot is neutralish, clay/rock, and a bit dry for us, but roots of grapes are in semi shade. It is late July, and some clusters are ripe with height of ripening by mid august. My new yard is much smaller, and I'm going to try something similar with cultivated fruit trees and grapes.
