I just moved to a permaculture farm near Tenino, WA and am looking to meet people who can help me learn how to do some hand carving. Thought I might as well check here

Hi Connie,

Welcome to permies!!

I don't know of anyone off hand, but as a teacher, I can share that for a really good start, just get a plan in your head, get (or make) the tools you need, and let them and the wood teach you. We "gray hairs" are for the fine points of knowledge and encouragement. I am sure by just reading through the many links here and some "Googling" you will find someone and all you need.

Let me know if I can share more with you,

j
