Hi,

I'm in the process of making my market garden no dig. I'm setting it out mostly in 4' beds, some 3' 6''.

One issue that I anticipate coming up against is an increase in leather jackets - the larvae of crane fly Tipula oleracea

I wondered if a moveable chicken tractor that could be rotated around the beds in the quieter months might reduce their numbers, or do the larvae burrow deeper that would be accessible for a chicken?

If anyone has any experience in this I'd love to hear about it.

thanks

Mike
