Need Future Farmer with Horse Experience

We are a busy biodynamic & organic farming project looking for an intern with horse experience! We are located in Moorpark, California. With over 210 acres of orchards, pastures, two acres of garden and 1,000 animals there’s plenty happening here year round. See pictures here: www.facebook.com/apricotlanefarms

If you are interested in a large scale, eco-system based farming operation where plants, animals and insects are intertwined and interdependent of each other, or if learning how animals and agriculture benefit one another, then this might be a good fit. We’re the largest organic/biodynamic farming operation in both Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

We have two horses that need to be cared for and ridden/trained everyday, which will be in addition to morning and evening chicken chores and an assortment of other jobs around the farm.

Only the passionate need apply. This is an intense 3-month long, 6-day per week visitor experience. (There is the possibility of a paid internship or full time position available after the 3 months.)

Room and Board is provided.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: (We cannot respond to all applicants especially if you’re missing requested material, thanks for understanding)

1) BRIEF BIO including horse experience & WHY you want to work on a farm?
2) Desired start and finish dates as well as flexibility with those dates. Please NOTE, we have to give priority to those who can commit to 3 months.
3) Dietary restrictions if any.
4) You must be 21 or older.
5) Please include a Picture of yourself

Please email Trevor@ApricotLaneFarms.com with applications, questions, or for more information.

All of the following truths are shameless lies. But what about this tiny ad:
