This is an idea that might help with the moderation of commercial offers and spam.

May I suggest that all initial posts which contain foreign characters (Much of the spam that we receive contains Chinese characters) or links to multiple websites, be automatically sent for moderator review before being published.

 We could also include certain red flag words. Posts that contain the words visa, drivers license, fake, passport and plastic surgery, usually lead to spam.

 Chit chat about marijuana and other illegal substances is also a huge waste of moderator time. Perhaps, when someone tries to post something containing those words, we could have a message pop-up, which explains that they are wasting their time.

 Should these things be implemented, I suspect that new and old members alike,  will become more self-regulating and need less help from the moderators.

 As usual, I bring up this idea without any knowledge as to how this may be accomplished or how much work it entails. I have only a rough idea of what goes on inside my computer.
