Looking to move to a place without building codes and go offgrid organic as much as possible. Frentress TN is a strong possible I've been told it has rejected the state-wide adoption of building codes (allowing for us to use superior technology like CEB to build, I've a history in real estate and some building.)
And allowing us to build our own homes, literally, Dirt Cheap (its funny, because CEB is an adobe building material that is made out of...DIRT!) Imagine having the best building material on earth (either this or hempcrete..not sure yet) for your wallet, health, and safety) something you can dig with a shovel in your own back
yard.
Where I lack in skill is agriculturally. I have a good (dare I say strong?) Handle on economics and foresee some trends that are worth capitalizing on now. I'd like to bring more 'permaculturalist' type growers into my 'community'
online (about 15-20 people on
facebook so far interested, but who knows how interested? only a few talk daily) This group is dedicated to the idea of finding and acquiring
land and living an ecovillage lifestyle as much as we can. The reasoning is both for the huge savings and health benefits as well as cultural and independent qualities of living this way.
If the idea of co-op purchasing a large tract of land and sharing it with a few other people in a small ecovillage (as spread out or central as we want to make it) and producing income from the land, then please drop me a line. Interested in knowing you.
