Hi Angelika,
Thanks for the response and information. I’ m currently in the UK and planning ahead long term for a lifestyle change should I get work severance in the next 12 months. As the Australian economist Steve Keen indicates the real estate market in Australia is grossly overvalued and expects a market correction in the future. I agree with him on overvalued, hence the search inland for remote worthless bushland. I have n't looked into soil quality, though for my needs I'll accept poor quality soil.
I figured around Sydney and Melbourne would be extortionately expensive so I’ve discounted NSW and Victoria. I was looking at Western Australia, (2 to 3 hours either north or south of Perth), Northern Territories and Queensland. I had never considered Tasmania and will definitely look into that location in much greater depth. As some initial basic research indicates it has a lot of positive potential. So thanks for the tip. What are the Blue Mountains like for land prices, especially for steep and rocky ?
