Hi i'm from the Philippines. We are frequently hit by typhoons. This is my first time to plant papaya. I was wondering if heavy trimming of mature leaves and just leaving the top young leaves hurt the plants? I am doing this to save the plants from breaking and from being uprooted wind strong winds when typhoon hits us. What are the consequences if i did and would it harm the existing fruits? Thanks
