When I am not stomping cob or plastering bales I work as a librarian in Stevensville Montana. I am always trying to find high quality presenters for the library and would love to see some permaculture voices down in the Bitterroot Valley. I had a great program just a few months ago called "interseeding pastures with legumes". I couldn't have been more happy with the turnout of old and new farmers who were looking to improve crop yields through diversity of planting rather than chemicals.

Anybody interested in giving a talk on any subject matter near and dear to them is encouraged to call me at the library (406-777-5061) or message me over permies. I'm giving a compost talk next week and sneaking in some humanure discussion.

This is an excellent idea Danielle, way to go!!

This is an incredible instance of the public WANTING to learn how to live better, and the government meeting their needs, not with subsidies and expensive, inefficient programs, but with PEOPLE who are passionate about doing things right, and using their station to better their community - if only more public servants had your mindset.

Any Permies in Montana have a free weekend to preach sustainability at the library?

Thanks Dustin, I hope we get some people interested in giving talks at the library. I'll continue to spew my 2 cents at the community until someone else wants a turn. The composting class went well, about a dozen people came and had a lot of questions about how a sawdust toilet works. I think I at least curbed their fecalphobia a bit if nothing else.

We must storm this mad man's lab and destroy his villanous bomb! Are you with me tiny ad?
