Just an FYI. When I was in Vietnam adopting my youngest child in 2001, I was introduced to Vietnamese coffee. The idea is similar to cowgirl coffee. They make a stainless steel individual cup coffee filter that is available through Amazon for from $3 and on up with most around $5 to $6. They do not break and last as long as anyother stainless steel device. No extraneous filters. You do not have to use sweetened condensed milk, it is a Vietnamese thing (very good, but not a necessity)

Looking forward to your Q and A's this week. I am slowly "permaculturing" our yard. I would appreciate ideas that make my neighbors less annoyed. Most think that growing anything but grass in your front yard is "sinful." I have long left the grass and have a rain garden (in Pacific Maritime NW), dwarf fruit trees, berries between me and one neighbor. My plan is more flowers and herbs between things so that the yard has more color. Help with suggestions, even specific plants useful and colorful . . .

Welcome. This is my first post. In your book, do you go into permaculture and other "cultures" as I see your site supports development in Nepal and the Himalayas? I am involved with a group that is encouraging a group of women who are very poor and trying to raise their grandchildren orphaned by AIDS in Zambia.
