Hello there, I wanted to plant oak because of the acorns in a hot desert climate that will never get cold than a few night dropping 70 fahrenheit out of the year. Yet easily reaching 90 in the peak of the day. I learned that white oaks are the ones that don't need cold stratification, but I wanted to double check,

Yeah the info is mad low but the plant flower when the temperature gets above for a few days I guess in a row. If the earth hotter we at least can grow banana and yam coffee and mango so there's that. Maybe some genius sepp holtzer style permanent microclimate things need to be done. All in all I plan to plant multiple yam from the "ethnic" stores like Mexican Chinese and Indian. Plant in grow bag and hope for a hot summer and hotter fall. God permit. And then flower. Hi there permies, I wanted to see if anyone knows how we can get true seed potato breeding network/program going. I like yams and I am growing yams first yr and also true seed potato. I wanted to if any wild, toxic or anything true yams that have male and female flowers and are fertile exist.
