Hi Heather, you have a great way of thinking. I myself have been told that I was born in the wrong era. For years I thought about moving to Alaska and going off grid. My problem is that some of the things I enjoy doing require power ( welding). I am however currently working on at least trying to be somewhat self reliant. I have a small farm where I grow my own veggies, I have chickens for eggs. Next on my list is to get more chickens, qual, pheasants, then livestock. I am trying to learn about composting and getting my soil better using natural methods. I am going to visit Joel Salatin and also have been talking with Justin Rhodes here in NC. Yes I am in NC but I am interested in meeting a like minded woman than is up for the challange. I would like to talk more with you however I really am not sure with posts read by everyone. Oh and just so your wondering I am 52 years young. Yes I say young because most people can't keep up with my work ethic. I would be glad to share a pic with private conversation. What are your thoughts on children?
