Bought 2 acres 80 year old lava field with lots of brush, grasses, etc to start the beds. We're growing tropical fruit trees. Planting design will be 6 x 6 high density. We will create vessels to hold coconut stumps, by moving lava rocks from area between rows to row. Boy, that's hard to say. Also growing field peas and yardlong beans for fixing nitrogen and wood for hugelculture rows.
