Thank you for the welcome. I have always been fascinated by living off the grid and obsessed with survival shows. I am a 44 year old single woman who's kids have left the nest. I had plans of moving off the grid to Alaska with my male friend, but he recently passed away due to covid complications, so now I am looking at doing it alone, but not looking at Alaska if I'm flying solo. I am just learning everything and really didn't know where to start, so this site is fabulous and informative. I've always lived in the city but have never felt at home. My soul is only at peace when I'm camping in the woods. I plan on asking lots of questions and truly appreciate all of you on here.
