Hi Rob. This is Michelle a new permies postie but an old Canadian/Cascadian pioneer soul. I am in the West Kooteney just a couple valleys down from you. Your land and the location looks beautiful and sounds like it has great potential for rewarding stewardship opportunities. The workable situation you describe is very akin to what I am seeking as a lifelong family homesteader who is now looking for new intentional community living with other permaculture enthusists. I'm also speaking on behalf of my dearest couple friends of many years, we are all mature late 50s-65, are also looking to move to a nearby rural property where the use of their extensive skills and experience in planning building, plumbing, heating gardening chicken farming etc can be employed towards a solid long-term work trade/housing arrangement.
