I have ten acres of mostly pastures, woods and some development (gardens,
greenhouse,
chicken coops, barn and pigsty). It is fenced and cross-fenced for large animals with an area for pasturing my pigs (el. fenced). I have a small, older house but a lot of space for a tiny home, trailer or yurt. There is also nearly finished (small) cabin with electricity.
No luxury here but there's cell signal and wifi available, electricity,
water from two
wells and easy access to a highway. There are a few neighbours, some with kids. While the place is 60 km from the nearest town, it also sits strategically within the reach of four Farmer's Markets. There are some fishing and swimming lakes within 15-30 minute drive.
I'm looking for someone who cares about the way they raise their children and how they
feed them. I have given up on saving the world and all I can do is try to lead by example or just be on the
land. As anyone who has tried living off the land before me, I come to the realization that complete loneliness will not work, only return to some community-cooperation paradigm will. I do get animal feed,
milk,
straw and help from neighbours. There's a festering idea in my head that tells me I could develop it into a
boot camp or tiny home/gardening community.
I think, being able to swiftly adapt is going to be a big one for the coming generation. Forget about plandemics and other man-made disasters, I have not seen one summer that would be akin to the other for the four years I have been here (e.g., I have put greens into the ground in the early Summer 2021, only to see them sprout up all over my property only in October).
If you like physical work, being outside, connecting with living beings and sitting around a campfire with stories going around, let me know. Nobody can guarantee anything these days, so, why wait?!
