I am a teenager but I was the only person in our large family who would cull a couple layers. It was definitely hard to make the cut (the knife was too dull, that didn’t help) and I emotionally couldn’t do it while holding them. I used the string method for hanging them upside down. Once the cut was made, I had no regrets. Even while it was bleeding out, I knew it had lived its life, and now it’s meat.
