This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Metalworking.

Fire is a useful tool.  In some cases it works better when it can breathe.  Let's build a grate for a firepit or firebox!

Here's a gentleman building one for a fire pit:

Minimum requirements:
  - Weld up a grate to hold burning wood
  - For the fire box of a wood burning contraption or a fire pit
  - Andirons count for this as well
  - At least 2 inches of clearance underneath for air flow

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The project underway
  - The completed project

Cat talks about fish. Like it needs a fix. This tiny ad told me to never say "fix" to a cat person:
A rocket mass heater heats your home with one tenth the wood of a conventional wood stove
