I'd like to try growing Baru (Dipteryx alata) and am looking for a source for seeds or plants without having to make a trip to Brazil. I haven't found any evidence of anyone even attempting to grow them outside the Cerrado savannah of Midwestern Brazil and part of eastern Bolivia.

Hello, did you get any answers to this inquiry for plants/seeds for the Dipteryx alata? Would be interested also. Thank you, Cindy

Hi, If either of you are still looking for Dipteryx alata seeds I see there is now a site in Europe selling them online. :-) I cannot vouch for the company as I only just discovered them and have not yet placed an order.
