I am just about to finish the floor with a layer of linseed oil & carnauba wax mixture (50/50). I am wondering if I should put a liquid mixture on the floor or I should wait until it cools down and maybe gets a bit more solid - do you have any experience with that? Is the warm, liquid wax/oil better in terms of connection with the floor? Thanks in advance!
How did the application of the oil/carnuba wax go? I have just been learning to apply my mix beeswax:carnuba wax:lineseed oil (1:1:4), heated, liquified and found the wax in the mix to solidify on touching the cold floor so I imagine pouring it would create straigth away a thick wax layer which we want to avoid. I am not using any solvents so maybe there would be a difference at which speed it solidifies but for now I am using a cloth which I dab in the liquid and then rub hard to disperse the wax on the surface. I will use a hand held buffer in a 1-2 days to get more sheen and spreed the wax even further.
Good luck wiith your endevours.
