If you haven't found something, we're near Tampa and have been looking for good helping partners.

I'm also interested in permaculture gardening in FL., specifically urban and suburban and public access land food forestry.

I'm currently in Boca Raton and dreaming up a business/project. Would love to collaborate with those with relevant skills, know-how, knowledge, interest, passion, desire, tools, resources, plans, energy.

We're located near Tampa (Plant city) and have been here for 35 years, so we've done a lot of observation over the years. I'm 71 and my wife is not far behind, so really looking for others to help and hopefully take over what we have started. I real believe in the principals of permaculture and have been trying to get others interested in the topic by volunteering for our community radio station doing a sustainable living program for the last 15 years.  Feel we are doing the best at being a permaculture farm in our region but have room for improvement. Haven't kept up with our web site but it still is somewhat correct (read the last page). Our e-mail is ecofarmfl@yahoo.com and my cell is 813-708-3179 www.ecofarmfl.org

John,
I'm near Tampa as well (almost Wesley Chapel), but would be very interested in heading out and helping at some point in exchange for learning something new. I live in an urban cookie-cutter home riddled with HOA restrictions and I am just stir-crazy trying to learn more. I'll shoot you over an email as well, but wanted to reply here in case that was a better way to reach you.

As for the OP, I also know a few people in St. Pete that run a more permaculture type property and I know they are always open to visitors. I'm not sure if they need help or have a place to stay, but it would be another great place to learn. Currently that is the ONLY place I've learned apart from YouTube and a short visit out to Rob Greenfield's place in Orlando before he closed up shop there.

Sure you can send us an email. Yes Wesley Chapel is a pretty dismal place but so is about anywhere.
