Today is Feb 29, 2020, leap day of a leap year!
Thinking about leaping forward on our goals, we all tend to work slow and steady at them, with occasional leaps of change, are you ready for a leap this year? Some questions worth thinking hard on:
What would you do this year if you knew you couldn't fail?
Good question! What would you do? I'm planning to build my home this year, and I may fail, but I am doing it. I have contingency plans ready for failures and setbacks, since repeated setbacks are why I have no home yet, that's just good planning, but I'm planning to leap into the abyss, and do it, even though I am terrified. If I KNEW I couldn't fail, I'd be MUCH less scared of taking on such a big project. What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? And would you really fail, or just have to alter your timeline? Worth thinking on.
What would it take for you to change one major thing in your life this year to be closer to your dream life?
Can it be done? When did you last look at the data? Talk to your significant others, has anything changed you aren't aware of? Can you do it? Is it a good idea to do so? It might be time to leap! Check and see!!
What is one thing you can change to make your life better?
Could be anything from planting something, to learning a new skill, to breaking a bad habit or adding a good habit. What CAN you change that you just haven't gotten around to? Is it time to do so?
When was the last time you looked at what exactly your dreams and goals are?
Have you changed? Have the factors in your life? Is it time to rework them? Dreams and goals are not static targets, they keep moving, changing, and growing as we move change and grow. The world changes, factors change, and sometimes we forget to update our dreams and goals in the chaos of day to day life stress. And your significant others have changed too, have they looked at theirs lately? Is it time for a family meeting to rework it all? Which loops back to the earlier questions. Ask them the same questions I just asked you. The answers might be interesting!!
Happy leap year, and may we all take a leap ahead in our lives this year!
