I am sure both are fine meat
rabbits. I have raised them both. You are lucky to have found a breeder near you. I would like to mention a new rabbit developed by Texas A&M University in Kingsville and it is named using those initials. TAMUK. The TAMUK is a heat tolerant rabbit and can stand significant amount of heat compared to all other rabbits. So if you are in a hot part of the country this may be of use to you. Also I have some links for you: good recipes at Rudolph's Rabbit Ranch www.rudolphsrabbitranch.com , cage supplies: www.bassequipment.com (central and eastern USA) and www.kwcages.com (for western USA ).
