Some dear friends of mine are selling two permie-centric properties.
One property is multiple acres and has been
graded for rainwater harvesting and has
nutrient-dense nut trees on it. it houses a large
Bed and Breakfast structure on it with a commercial kitchen and numerous bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a gazebo that allows for sunset views. The owners has beautified and made the property more
sustainable each year since buying it five-six years ago. In 2011, a whole
water system was installed so that
filtered water issues from all taps and shower heads. The property also has a large, separate guest house with additional, multiple bedrooms with en suite baths, a wedding/conference-type hall (the property has thrived serving as a retreat center hosting weddings, private conferences/seminars, workshops) and a gazebo with sunset views.
The other property is on almost six acres with a
small livestock farm that has been thriving - two livestock dogs, numerous pigs,
chickens, bunnies, as you can imagine, awesome composting, and a Grow Dome. On it is a spacious newer (1993) log-cabin style home with
light-filled, inspiring loft spaces, lots of windows, a great kitchen, newer bathrooms, and a fully-finished daylight basement. There are lots of edibles in the garden which opens up to rolling hillsides and the sunset. It's kitty corner from the first property, and has served as a single family home while being a
staple in the neighborhood for neighbors who have wanted ideas for livestock and efficient, ecological uses of the
land. The owners are beginning to list the livestock on Craigslist now. The properties themselves will be listed after July. I thought fellow Rockies permies might want to know early!
A lot of love's been placed into both properties and in and around them. Most everyone who visits states that this is palpable. It's near the 4-corners area, and
interested parties can contact Dolores@CentersofLight.org.
