Last year we read about berries that would grow well in North Bay. We visited one of our garden stores and decided to try some currents and some Saskatoon berries.  The picture here is a current bush that is much bigger than last year and has a lot more little buds on it.  The Saskatoon berries were interesting to me as my Mom grew up in Saskatoon and always talked about how much she loved the Saskatoon berries.  When we planted them last year, the rabbit and deer loved us!  We have moved the bushes to the front yard this year as we've found out that berries love full sun and they will get it here!
