I need to do a flash-ectomy on my PC

Is there something out there that does flash without the adobe stuff? It seems that a big part of the problems on my computer keep coming back to flash.

I feel your pain. Lots of browser lockups, etc. Bah.

The only thing I've seen that is recent was written for the Ubuntu OS.

And I've only heard of it; I've not tried it so I can't say how it works.

I do use "flashblock" to stop the flash stuff from displaying on a site, unless I want it. Seems to help a bit and it's quick to disable for a page.

another one called "noflash" also.

NoScript can be set to block too, but then i can't see Captha either.

Am downloading Miro player now, for the MSL landing. It is supposed to be a good player, and can sandbox flash items too.

I have NO adobe left on my computer.... try using Foxit reader instead of AR. you get less calls to the shared library, and fewer hangs.
