My partner and I are interested in developing a Permaculture Education Center focusing on accessibility and affordability. I'm a certified instructor through the Permaculture Research Institute, I teach at Edmonds College, and together we run Redtail Edge Design. www.redtailedge.com
Key Features of the Center:
-Intentional Community Housing (small scale and affordable, possibly off-grid)
-Production Regenerative Agriculture Systems (economically viable and sustain the community)
-Community Gathering Space for Events and Classes
-Semiannual PDC's (geared towards helping students develop professional skill sets in design, farming, landscaping, ecological restoration, etc.)
-Venue for Hosting Convergences and other Big Events
The Land:
We are preferably looking for 10-50 acres of land somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. We are open-minded about size and location but are primarily interested in the NW, Mid-West, or North-Eastern United States.
Do you know someone with a property that is interested in partnering on this mission or selling their land to good stewards? We have funds available to put towards the start of this project. The standard 20% down payment or possibly more depending on the property. I have looked into bank financing, and it is not an option. To build this center, we need land with owner financing. I am happy to discuss financial details with any interested party.
