Knapweed vs. Sulfur Cinquefoil

About 20 years ago my land was dominated with Knapweed but is now dominated by Sulfer Cinquefoil. I was wondering if this is a sign that my land has improved or if it just means the Cinquefoil is just tougher than knapweed.
