Seeking someone - preferably age 30 to 50 with experience living in community, and who has solid experience with some combination of carpentry, building, general handy work, permaculture & water systems, & or land management. Even better if you're into leading volunteer days & workshops. Ideally willing to make a 6 month commitment including 1 month trial period. Queer & POC to the front.

The Space - "La casita" an 8 x 11ft standalone tiny house with access to outdoor kitchen, compost toilet, outdoor shower, & half acre garden. Room has cold A/C, electric & is furnished w/ a full double bed & desk.

Cost of living - $500/mo + min 6 hours work trade per week contributing in the areas listed above. Opportunity exists for more paid work on the land depending on your particular skills and with our non profit org home garden & food forest installs.

About us -  Finca Morada est. 2019 and located in Miami Florida is a QTBIPOC centered cooperative of artists, activists, farmers, & nature shepherds, & ½ acre urban food forest garden sanctuary. We practice living in reciprocity with nature; host community events & educational workshops; provide affordable housing; & host artist residency & internship programs. And through project, Grow Roots Miami, we build free productive edible gardens & food forests for low income families.

Our work is centered in cultivating resilience through a holistic lense. We do this by nurturing interdependent community relationships; inspiring cultural shifts towards living in connection with our local ecology; practicing sustainability through workshops, neighborhood composting, resource sharing, regenerating soil, growing food & medicine, harvesting rainwater; offering events to nourish emotional, spiritual, & physical wellbeing; & honing collective tools to process & hold space for climate & disaster grief.
