Ancient grid gardens of SWest

They are doing this style open garden in Israel right now, but don't know if the natives did this for water trapping, holding mulches, or crop rotation in the day.

i like this, it reinforces the theory i heard a few years ago, that the Hopi peoples creation theory was actually a true story.

that they really had emerged from the sipapu in the Grand Canyon, as that was the extent of the glacier cover, after they had come across the land bridge, and down the coast.

the Colorado river was a clear path and they walked out of the open plain of the mohave, and to the edge of the Colorado Plateau.
