Australian Permaculture designer and pioneer, Robyn Francis developed the Eco-Social Matrix (ESM) as a planning tool for bioregional analysis. Identifying patterns of humans, their relationship to watersheds, land, networks, and regional demographics. ESM is a process for neighborhoods to plan and map sustainable initiatives for re-localization, building resilient, self-reliant community. The workshop presents working case studies and engages participatory processes to develop an ESM framework for your local community or bioregion.
