No-Till Garlic

Nice. I expected the larger scale cover crop crimp method, but this looks pretty good for a part time crop.

2+ inches of manure seems like more fertility than the garlic could use, although it does make a softer medium for planting and whatever comes in after the garlic will use it too. Depending on the soil i think you could fabric or mulch kill grass or w/e and use 1/2 inch of manure. I worked on a farm(see below) which tilled for ~1.5 acres of hardneck that conserved manure by spacing the cloves a little farther apart.

for me scape powder is a no go. pickles and scape-a-moli all the way.

2+ inches may seem like overkill. I put down that much to be able to have enough soft medium for the garlic to be pressed into, and also because the field that my garlic is planted in is pretty nutrient poor and extremely sandy. I suppose one could mix half n half or so with soil.

We've had good customer response to our scape powder, and though I love pickled scapes, I HATE making pickles so we focused on the powder.
