Who knows a bit about MediaWiki software, the open source software that runs Wikipedia? It's amazing software - it can run on your laptop, but also runs the world's 5th largest website, where anyone can edit pretty much any page.
Appropedia runs on MediaWiki, with some different extensions compared to Wikipedia, notably Semantic MediaWiki. (Semantic MediaWiki is very snazzy, and lets us treat pages like entries in a database. We hope to make much more use of it this year.) We've got plans for rating extensions and a bunch of other things... Let me know if you're interested in working on this.
Thanks!
