Hi Kate and welcome 🙏🏼
Im wondering why i lost all my worms suddenly and found the compost full of a very different small scaly beetle ?
I havent read your book but hope to get it soon.

Hi Ruth,
I outline the reasons why worms sometimes escape in detail in my book. It can be happen right before a major rain event, or due to condensation forming on the plastic surfaces (worms like hanging out here) and also because anaerobic conditions are taking over. It sounds like your farm has some sort of mite activity. This is likely due to not enough carbon rich materials being added and perhaps because conditions are a little too moist in your farm.

Does that sound about right?
