I need a new rooster, and maybe a few hens with good gens for laying (of course) and also for meat birds (not so important). Also if it was a breed for broodiness, I like that too.

I've got Buckeyes. good breed. reasonably broody, but not obnoxiously. decent layers. decent meat birds. good foragers. cold hardy. easy on the eyes.

I probably don't have the very best specimens, but I could easily spare a rooster. might be able to swing a couple hens later in the year, but not at the moment.

there's a gal named Brenda in Venersborg in Washington who breeds birds and has a good reputation and a large number of breeds to choose from. I don't have her contact information, but I think she should be relatively easy to find.
