Please embrace this email as your official invitation to help co-create our brand new Building Man Co-operative.

We're hoping that you will take part in supporting the design and creation of our first ever gathering on Bodenham Manor in Herefordshire. We would love to have you on board this experiment in community building and create with you a pool of wisdom on the complex permaculture web that sustains us. Please help us spread the message!

Thanks for all your support. Read on for full details...

Building Man Co-operative:

"Inspired by Burning Man, our gatherings will be 100% participatory, pioneering an operational gift economy. However, rather than 'leave no trace,' Building Man will develop permanent site infrastructures for emerging communities and creative arts hubs across the UK and beyond."
- Building Man Co-operative.

Building Man is community owned and collectively organised by a growing network of people and projects. This paradigm shifting initiative is putting the folk back into festivals. We hope you'll help us make this shared vision our collective reality.

With huge excitement, we'd like to invite you to become a key partner (and core member) of the Building Man Co-operative. Like every truly ambitious project, we're bracing ourselves for humble and experimental beginnings. Which means the holographic singularity of space is the limit...

We're delighted to confirm a hugely experienced core team and emerging network of key partners, which already includes The Clouds Co-operative (makers of Cloud Cuckoo Land, Upcycle and The End to End), the Freeconomy Community, Sunrise Festivals, Tin Village, the People's Kitchen, Worldshift Media, Camp Light and project co-founders United Diversity, to name only a handful.

Building Man, Bodenham Manor:
>> Thursday 2nd May 'till Monday 27th May 2013, Bodenham Manor (incl. 2 x Bank Holiday weekends).

Proposed schedule for May:
Seed camp: Core crew / key partners. Project launch and core infrastructure builds.
(2nd - 6th May 2013)

Building Man (Build phase): Eco builds, site decor workshops, permaculture projects etc, plus daily community kitchens and Upcycle-inspired waste management.
(7th - 22nd May 2013)

Performing arts festival: Music, arts, workshops and speakers courtesy of (TBC) Rolling Stage / Two For Joy / Permanent Culture Now / The Cloud of Unknowing / The Cuckoo Club. Healing spaces and permaculture gardens.
(23rd - 27th May 2013)

Site description: 88 acres mixed woodland and pasture. Emerging community. Agreement in principle for part-transfer (Community Land Trust, or equivalent).

Proposed core projects: Retro-fit, eco build rennovation of school buildings. Permaculture garden, including possible WETland system for Manor and surrounds. Event capacity building (camping / sanitation facilities). Community kitchen. Site decor and art installations.

Pioneering gift economy. Our Rainbow-inspired 'Magic Hat' will supplement crowd funding via The End to End (approx. £7,500) and Cloud Cuckoo Land Festival (approx. £10,000). We're also proposing a membership building Community Share issue from 2014 and beyond.

Your ideas and inspirations:

Please share! Building Man is experimental and radically receptive, with your contributions and feedback essential in order to define and refine our common vision. Please contact marcus.letts@hotmail.co.uk with any suggested improvements.

"Somewhere beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field. I'll meet you there..."
- Rumi, Sufi Mystic.

Thank you friends and family for your continuing support of this community owned and collectively organised initiative. If you're interested in participating in 2013 and beyond one of our prospective Directors would be delighted to meet in person to explore future collaborations. Again, please email either of movimento.naturelia@gmail.com // marcus.letts@hotmail.co.uk // joe_reid@live.co.uk to make the connection.

Very best wishes for a transformational 2013.

With all our super abundant love,

Festival Hostess
Emily Mouratoglou

This is fantastic! I wish I was in the UK to participate! It would be great to launch something similar here in the US. I'm working on getting a cooperative of tiny house builders together to help each other with the logistics and creation of their own tiny homes, hopefully branching out to more permaculture collaborations.

Keep it up! This rocks!
