Where I buy my coffee, they sell whole beans in a can - looks like a tin can, but is cardboard, w/ aluminum ends.
The other day, I ground up a can, and there was about 3" empty space left at the top.
The grating below the grinder was almost full of other people's spillage.
I pulled out the 'drawer', and poured it into my can.
Probably enough for an extra 2-3 pots of coffee.
