Hugelbed for Herb-spiral: Experiences wanted

Howdy!

I'm wondering if any of you folks can speak to your experiences using hugelkultur for an herb spiral. I've tried searching teh Google, but all I seem to come up with is peoples planed, or just implemented, hugel-herb-spirals. Not so many hits on the well established, successful iterations.

I have a stockpile of wood, and plenty of space. However, I'd rather not spend the time and energy (never mind wasting the wood resources) if this is a doomed experiment. That being said, I'd love to hear about your successful hugelbed herb gardens.

Its ao funny you ask this as I just built my second one in a few weeks. I am still a novice but I cant imagine how it could go wrong. I like the experimental aspects anyway, so I am excited to see what happens.
