I've read all the Ringing Cedar Series of books (9) and I have to say Anastasia's vision for creating community and living in harmony with the Earth is better than any I've seen.

Most intentional communities just seem to fall apart after a while. A few do make it, but by and large not most.

Anastasia's Kins Domains is different. Each family lives on around 4 to 5 acres of land that's in the family's trust and can never be bought or sold, but is passed on down through the generations. This land is nurtured and planted with all types of food plants and trees giving the family almost all their needs. The surrounding kins domains of other families are around them and they come together to trade goods now and then and socialize with the other kin domain folks.

I love the vision and I would love to find a place to create such a vision.
