Need help with a little chipmunk problem

Howdy y'all, some chipmunks have been digging around in my raised beds, nibbling on my bean and lettuce sprouts, and making some nasty little tunnels all about. I don't want to kill them, rather discourage them from causing havoc in my beds. Thanks!

Cayenne pepper. The cheap stuff at the Dollar Store. Sprinkle it around generously. If the little bastards don't take the hint, give them some Habanero sauce to chew on.

Perhaps you could plant something natural that the chipmunks like to eat that's native to the area that's before your garden?

John, do you have any experience with this technique, and if so will it disturb the plants/soil? Is it okay to spread it inside and outside my beds?
